02 / PROJECT STUDY
DSH Plugin Hub
Sharing a development setup is only the beginning. The Hub CLI also needs to handle what happens after a user makes it their own.
CONTRIBUTION / PROFILE LIFECYCLE
Keep what
makes it yours.
Author defaults. Local edits. A way forward.
01 / THE PROJECT
A shareable development setup.
DSH Hub shares DeepSeek Harness plugins and configuration as versioned Profiles. The CLI lets a user inspect changes, apply a release, and recover a previous revision. The project is maintained collaboratively; this page focuses on Jiahang’s Profile lifecycle contribution.
02 / THE CONTRIBUTION
Make upgrades account for local intent.
The merged 0.5.0 change separates the author baseline from personal patches, additional dependencies, and explicit plugin choices. It adds daily editing, context-bound conflict resolution, history, and recovery.
An author publishes an update after a user has customized the installed Profile.
Keep the two sets of changes distinct, stage the next revision, and preserve a path back.
03 / THE BOUNDARIES
A runtime, an input, and a revision.
Recorded runtime
Prepare and launch a specific runtime instead of silently changing the execution environment.
Saved inputs
Keep input values out of package preparation, then load the selected Profile’s values for validation and run.
Recovery
Retain revision history and dependency receipts through failed staging and rollback.
The release records integration tests for these paths. Native Windows and clean third-party task acceptance were left as follow-up work in that contribution.
